Dividend Superstars has one straightforward goal: Profiling what I believe to be the best dividend-paying stocks in the world. I’m talking about companies that have been delivering higher and higher payments for decades … high-growth firms that are happy to share their good fortune with you … and stocks with eye-popping yields that will trump even the fattest Treasury bond yields.

Every recommendation in Dividend Superstars can be bought and sold on a U.S. exchange. However, you’re not limited to investing only in U.S.-based companies. After all, there are fundamentally sound companies, with long histories of dividend payments, in Europe … Asia … and Latin America … with shares trading right here in the States.

In each monthly issue of Dividend Superstars, I’ll profile some of my favorite dividend-paying candidates, and update you on past recommendations. I’ll identify and explain the investment trends and strategies that matter most to your holdings and your bottom line. And I’ll interact with you through regular Question and Answer columns.

Naturally, every investment has risks. But you will get everything from stocks suited for conservative retirement accounts to more aggressive plays with mammoth potential. But every stock will pay a dividend, and I’ll place each one into a different model portfolio with a separate goal:

Income Superstars: Consists of stocks with long histories of steady dividend payments and competitive yields. Many of these companies will be household names to you. Their businesses are easy to understand and extremely profitable. These are the kind of buy-and-hold shares that can be used for current income and with the ability to multiply your wealth over time.

Total Return Superstars: Many of these companies are smaller, off-the-radar firms that sport faster growth and the chance for big capital gains. However, they also buck the trend by sending out regular dividend checks, too! In this day and age of fly-by-night, profitless windbags, it’s nice to know there are still growth companies willing to put up or shut up!

High-Yield Superstars: This list is reserved for more aggressive investments that offer the kind of yields that will blow away the rates you’ll find with other income investments like CDs, Money Markets, and government bonds. While there’s some additional risk involved,  I believe that these investments will pay for themselves in very short order, so the rewards are pretty darn attractive.

In short, it’ll be crystal clear what you should expect from each stock I tell you about. And I’ll do my best to keep the selections diversified across sectors, industries, even countries.

This is a stock service, so our goal will be producing long-term returns that are better than the major stock market averages. Given the fact that we’ll be using dividend-paying stocks, I think we’re well on our way to that goal. After all, a large part of the stock market’s gains have come from dividends and not capital appreciation!
