     
About Nilus Mattive, Editor of Dividend Superstars
Before coming to Weiss Research, Nilus was Senior Editor of Standard & Poor’s The Outlook, the oldest continuously published investment newsletter in the country. He is the author of The Standard & Poor’s Guide for the New Investor (McGraw-Hill, 2004), and he has written for a number of investment websites, including BusinessWeek and Individual Investor. Nilus graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton with a triple major in philosophy, theology, and English.

In sixth grade, Nilus
Mattive told his parents he was interested in buying stock with his birthday
money. Since they had never invested in stocks, they told their young son
to find a broker through the phone book. After a few flat-out denials, Nilus
found someone willing to work with his small sum. With a little help from
his parents, he bought five shares of International Business Machines … and
thus began his love affair with investing (and dividend-paying stocks!).
